About Me
I am Yu, a digital nomad currently based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Four years ago, I independently navigated the complex process of gaining admission to the University of Michigan as an international student. With no external guidance, I dedicated countless hours to researching the college application process and meticulously executing my plan. Through this experience, I not only achieved my goal but also honed my ability to help others. I have been offering consulting services to aspiring students, guiding them through the admissions process and helping them secure offers from their dream universities.
In college, I organized tutorials and group workshops to assist fellow students with a variety of academic subjects, including Economics and Statistics. In some cases, I was able to help students improve their exam grades by over 40%. My passion for teaching began in high school, where I offered workshops on various topics to my classmates. At times, I found myself teaching nearly half the class at once! The greatest satisfaction I get from teaching is seeing others succeed and knowing that I played a role in helping them achieve their goals.
After graduating from university with a 3.9/4.0 GPA and Distinction, I joined my family in Southeast Asia and launched a career in data analysis. However, my passion for teaching never faded. Motivated by this, I co-founded Yugo Academy to help students in Cambodia unlock their full academic potential and achieve their educational goals.
